Buxton IPA Fundraiser I Benefiting NAMI I Craft Beer Taphouse Vancouver Wa.

Join us in enjoying the new Buxton IPA brewed by Grains of Wrath and giving back in honor of Ryan Buxton, our friend and Ex Novo’s late brewmaster. We will donate $1 per pint sold this night (of all pints sold) to NAMI and their important mission, and do a collective cheers around 7:30 pm!

Buxton IPA is an easy drinking 6% IPA that has huge grapefruit, citrus and pine notes from the combination of Centennial (one of Ryan's favorite hops), Citra and Simcoe.

Ex Novo Brewing’s brewmaster Ryan Buxton took his own life one year-ago last month, the loss is still very fresh and felt deeply in the hearts and minds of those who knew him and those who didn’t. Grains of Wrath Brewing was especially close with Ryan and Ex Novo, and in memory of his legacy and in support of his family they released Buxton IPA, a quaffable 6% ABV West Coast-style IPA at the end of May. – Source, The New School

Kimberly, co-owner Final Draft Taphouse, worked with Buxton at Ex Novo Brewing for several years. When Mike (co-owner Final Draft Taphouse) and Kimberly met and Mike started to hang with the Ex Novo crew, Mike and Buxton connected immediately and became buddies.

Buxton was a dear friend of ours and Final Draft Taphouse. We brewed our Grand Opening beer with Buxton and had several collaborative ventures after that. Our hearts and minds still can’t totally wrap our heads around the fact that he isn’t among us physically so that we can just pop into the brewery and cheers together. With that being said, we do know his wild soul watches over us. And his life and legacy are meant to raise awareness about mental health issues and help END the STIGMA in our industry and beyond.

It is OKAY to not be OKAY, and we need to help each other in this fight to LIVE and LIVE FREELY! If you are in need of help, please reach out….we at Final Draft Taphouse are ALWAYS here for you. Ours and Buxton’s friends at Grains of Wrath brewed this beer to honor Buxton and to help support his family. In the future they intent to do more with this beer to give back and honor Ryan. With that in mind, we are starting too and will be donating $1 per pint sold (all pints sold that night) on June 22, 2023 to NAMI SWWA. (The money used to purchase this keg was donated by GOW to Ryan's family).

NAMI SWWA does great things in our community to by providing advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that everyone affected by mental illness can build better lives.
