 Job Purpose: The Beertender/Foodtender aka: Final Draft Taphouse Brand & Craft Beer Ambassador will be responsible for exceeding our guests’ expectations by creating an exceptional taphouse experience by providing 5-star service, all while promoting an understanding and appreciation of the art and culture of craft beer. 

Duties and responsibilities: 

·     Acknowledge and welcome guests to the taphouse in a warm and positive way where guests feel at home and always welcome. 

·     Engage with guests to create a 5-star experience by guiding them through our craft beer menu, sharing craft-beer knowledge with them to ensure they choose the best beer selection for them, specialty beers on tap, local events and promotions 

·     Relay information about beer styles and help guide guests through the sensory experience.

·     Pour and serve beer correctly

·     Prepare food items according to preparation standards with all safety and food safety top of mind

·     Adhere to safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol service policies and procedures 

·     Accurately handle cash and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system. 

·     Prepare to-go beer including online orders. 

·     Change kegs and update POS and Untappd menus

·     Perform opening and/or closing duties for the taphouse 

·     Sweeping/mopping of floors, cleaning of windows, tables, chairs, bar area, kitchen, sinks, etc. 

·     Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms before, during and after shifts, ensuring all supplies are fully stocked 

·     Remove garbage and recycling.

·     Answer guests’ questions and/or concerns and confidently works to resolve customer issues/complaints.

·     Monitor the actions of guests on a continuous basis to ensure safety; addresses any issues directly, then reports any potential issues to management

·     procedures 

·     Follow all safety procedures and SOPs and wear safety, personal protective equipment (PPE) when required 

·     Willingness to perform other tasks as requested.

 Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

·     Be a beer enthusiast, passionate about craft beer 

·     Have a positive attitude and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills 

·     Be at least 21 years of age 

·     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·     Ability to handle stress with grace

·     Ability to Be(er) Excellent to Each Other – Kindness, Grace and Respect always to team members, guests, vendors, competitors, oneself, everyone!

·     Ability to multi-task and shift priorities with a focus on providing an exceptional guest experience

·     Ability to “talk craft beer” with guests and then shift quickly into “GO” high-volume mode 

·     Ability and enthusiasm for promoting taphouse events and promotional initiatives

·     Guest service focused with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 

·     Be motivated, hard-working, safety-minded and innovative with a commitment to representing and enjoying in the culture and success of Final Draft Taphouse

·     Shares common principles/beliefs set forth by taphouse ownership. 

·     Strong desire to grow professionally with the company and with the team.

·     Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time

·     Ability to routinely lift and move up to 75 pounds 

·     Ability to bend, stoop, push and pull 

·     Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays 

·     Have reliable transportation 

·     Have WA MAST 

·     Have Clark County Food Handlers Permit 

·     Have at least Cicerone Level 1 (Certified Beer Server) or willing to complete the exam within 90 days of employment

Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in a bartending role. Brewery or taphouse experience preferred. (This is not an entry level position).

Job Type: Part-time – Must be available Sundays, Mondays and one additional day during the week. Additional availability a plus. 

 Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience, beer knowledge and ability to deliver on the Final Draft Taphouse brand promise.
